In light of the fact that this month's newsletter is also the Annual Report, my message will be brief. It revolves around the season of Lent which begins with Ash Wednesday (Feb. 9) and continues through Holy Week(Easter Vigil is March 26). Our observances will once again be held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. with our Lenten series revolving around the Catechism--- call it a journey of reviewing what we believe with an emphasis on how we can grow in our understanding of God's expectations for each of us.
There are a few related events to the Lenten Season that continue or have been added:
Feb. 8, 5-7pm Mardi Gras(Fat Tuesday) Dinner sponsered by the Luther League
Feb. 9, 6:30am Ash Wednesday morning worship and lift breakfast (including the opportunity for the Imposition of Ashes)
March 20, time TBA A combined music presentation with Anna United Methodist to begin Holy Week in a very special way.
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil as is our custom.
Plan now to take the Lenten Journey with us as we explore all the Christ has done for us and ways in which we can serve him and help others to discover God's love in their lives.
